Are there areas for both of us to get ready in the morning?
Yes, The Sessions House in Spalding provides two private Dressing Rooms located in the historic turrets.
One features a white modern French style and the other a dark alternative aesthetic.
Available for £150 (2026) from 9 am, we also offer an optional champagne brunch for wedding parties.
What time can our guests arrive?
For weddings at The Sessions House, we recommend that guests arrive 30 - 60 minutes prior to the start of your ceremony to allow for seating in our historic Courtroom.
How many people may attend a Drinks Reception?
The Courtroom can accommodate up to 180 for a stand-up Reception and The Emerald Room can accommodate up to 50 guests.
On sunny days, we encourage guests to enjoy the drinks Reception in our Courtyard which can accommodate 250.
How many people may attend a sit-down meal?
For formal wedding breakfasts, The Sessions House offers three distinct spaces: The Original Courtroom (seating up to 100), the Magistrate's Room (seating 40), and the Emerald Room (seating 22). We also specialize in intimate private dining for smaller groups.
May we throw confetti?
We welcome natural/biodegradable confetti at the front of the house for confetti shots.
Is there somewhere we can securely store our Wedding Gifts?
When you book exclusive hire of The Sessions House, you have full private use of the venue. While gifts can be stored in a dedicated room, please note that the venue does not accept liability for lost or stolen items.
What time should our Wedding guests leave?
Our bar and music licenses end at midnight; we ask that all guests vacate The Sessions House by 12:30 am. Extensions can be arranged with our events team at least three weeks in advance.
How and when should we arrange our taxis on the night?
Because The Sessions House is centrally located in Spalding, we strongly advise pre-booking taxis in advance. Our wedding team can provide a list of recommended local Lincolnshire taxi companies.
Do you have car parking available?
The Sessions House provides complimentary on-site parking for 30 cars, including overnight options. Additional council car parks are located within a 1-minute walk of our venue.
Can we drop off items the day before our wedding?
Couples may set up at The Sessions House the day before their wedding by prior agreement. Please note we cannot store refrigerated items like cakes or cheese towers overnight due to food hygiene regulations.
Do you have disabled access?
The Sessions House is a Grade II listed historic building and does not have an elevator.
While we can provide a stairlift to access the main courtroom and disabled washroom on the groundfloor, please be aware there are gravel stones in the Courtyard.
Do you provide microphones for speeches?
Yes, The Sessions House provides a professional microphone and speaker system specifically for wedding speeches upon request.
Can we use smoke bombs?
Outdoor smoke bombs are permitted away from the main building at The Sessions House, provided they are purchased from a reputable retailer.
What are the guest accommodation options near the venue?
While we provide exclusive use of the venue, we partner with local providers like the nearby Cley Hall Hotel, a historic Georgian mansion just a short walk away, to offer elegant overnight stays for your guests.
